This is not a review, just a bargain buy update for Costco.

IMG_1195For the Tempranillo lovers out there, Kirkland Rioja Reserva 2009 has just shown up at our local Costco. Priced at $6.99 and 100% Spanish Tempranillo, this is an excellent buy. Aged 24 months in French and American oak casks and another year in the bottle. At $6.99, this is definitely bargain alert material!

IMG_1196Also, while I was there, I saw a choice bottle from Portugal.

Vina Regional Alentejano Vinho Tinto Ramos Premium 2012 wine, $14.99. It’s a red blend consisting of:
40% Aragonez
30% Syrah
30% Touriga Nacional (one of my favorite wine grapes)

The winemag buying guide gives it a 91 points and very good review.

This one looks like it might cellar well too.

Also, since we are on the subject of wine, Cameron Hughes is having a 24hr sale that ends today. Some pretty good deals and free shipping with three bottles or more on using the promo code: Savage
