We’ve gone on several whale watching cruises. It’s been amazing to see those magnificent creatures up close. We’ve seen the California Gray Whales eating, breaching and playing. We’ve seen the Orcas hunting…that was quite intense. However one of my favorite whale photos, came from a day when we were not on a cruise. It was a foggy day at Yaquina Head Lighthouse and we were watching the whales migrate as we stood on the overlooking cliffs. We couldn’t help but take photos, although I didn’t think any would actually turn out. Imagine my surprise to get a photo of one watching us in return.
